I think arachidonic acid (from omega-6) is involved in the sythesis of anandamide.

Hmm they say it is elevated in Schizophrenia and Depression as is Anandamide.
Seemingly, elevated Anandamide is the attempt of the brain to control Schizophrenia. So more of it is better.
