are you taking it with food? I have 600mgs capsules. I can't even take 1 on a semi-empty stomach without serious problems. With food, I can take 2-3 and I'm good to go.

I just wonder if thats a good or a bad thing. It might as well be that ALA is making me psychotic and it has nothing to do with toxins.

I dunno. some orthomolecular doctors used ala for psychotic problems with other vitamins, to good effect.
Maybe its just kinda stimulating, and that makes you anxious? I dunno.

i dont know either. I want to get tested for heavy metals, candida and maybe parasites. However, i dont know what tests are valid. I have a blood sample in the lab thats being tested for Lyme, Heavy Metals and Candida.
I have ordered a urine test measuring tartaric acid (Candida metabolite).
Coconut oil in excess amounts gives me bad psychological symptoms which may be candida.
Who knows? Im trying to get to the bottom of it all.

Lamdage22,
What are your symptoms that cause you to suspect heavy metals?
Where would you be exposed to heavy metals (lead pipes in your house? Dental crowns?) ie why are you suspecting heavy metals?
The test you're having done is ordinary medical test or some alternative med test kit or something?
Thanks,

The use of antioxidants to "clear mercury" is essentially a pseudoscience.
I have negative reactions to ALA too. It can help at times. However, it can potentiate serotonin function which may enhance side effects of antidepressants.
