Dunno. It worked wonders on his. I started with a big cup, figuring I'd eat at least half (we're down to just the hard ones). But he was mastering 7*8 and 9*12. Ok, it takes him a bit long with the 12's because he cheats. Same with 9's. But I'm ok with him adding and subtracting from ten * for the moment. And he knows his squares and square roots up to twelve (or 144) too.
He won so many Cheetos that they spoiled his lunch. :)
