And to keep some activity on this board...
In theory, there's an appeal in to the insurance company about their denial of treatment. No word yet.
My therapist thought that I was too depressed to benefit from treatment, which might be the case about now, but I suspect that getting me into a safe environment for therapy would make a difference.
Meanwhile, my therapist has also started to shift her thinking from "eating disorder" to "trauma," so she's been thinking along those lines, too. Unfortunately, there aren't many options that seem appropriate.
In other words, I'm still in a holding pattern. Depression is bad, and I've been feeling particularly uncommunicative lately. In fact, I know that I'm withdrawing and isolating much more than I should be, and that it's a bad sign.
So, that's my update.

I am pretty new back to the boards. I am sorry they are denying you whatever treatment you need.
I really hope things will look up for you. I will have to go back and find the old posts you have in order to see what is going on....HUGS

I *had* wondered, Racer.
You might recall a poster from the UK saying how the National Health was going to send him to Egypt for a holiday, because it was cheaper than psych treatment.
That's my idea of psych treatment anyway, although I'm not so sure about Egypt. Being paid to take a nice hike through Bhutan or Bolivia might be better.

There is a trauma program at the Remuda Ranch. It's supposed to be very good.
Take care.

Racer,
I was just wondering about this! Take care and keep fighting. I know you are tired and discouraged.
