elephant's temporal lobe...

Posted by Krazy Kat on June 26, 2002, at 16:34:15

mouse:

i don't know if you'll see this here, but i have thought and thought about your experience with the elephant woman and you are Not reeling from the wheel in your little mousey cage. Your head, and heart, are screwed on straight. :)

this woman was being condescending and rather unprofessional. i may not recall all the details correctly (make that "I Will Not") but she seemed to have already come to a conclusion and shut her intake of info down.

What IF, our brains act as conduits for God's (or as you know, I might say gods') visions? I would be very interested to find out where the heart became the harbor for emotions and feelings in history, when it really is the brain.

The little green man thing -- as a former and occasional migraine sufferer, I can't even touch that.

Souls --- souls ---- the concept of a soul has become very romantic and fluid, whereas it was just accepted in the civilized past.

Check out the book I mentioned above to Mandy if you get a chance, even just excerpts online because I think you'll like it. The Dr. mentions that a "soul" (or the Holy Spirit in Christianity) surrounds and acts as our spiritual guide.

My Mom made a nice comment as we slowly battle through this whole thing... she said when we die, our brain stays here just like all our other lovely pieces. So it could only be another "thing", a soul, that flitted into heavenly, or hellish, realms.

SO, our brain acts as a conduit while we're here to filter these messages from God perhaps, to give us the needed emotions to survive, and to do God knows what. :)

And sometimes it's not perfect. And it must get tired.

much love,

- kk

I feel so faithless. I see a blade of grass as sharp to cut , an obstacle for bugs , dry n dirty from the cars etc.
My cat brings in mice , I watched while she played with it alive (made myself-wasn't easy)She teased it for pleasure I felt so much like that mouse - it's final squeak of hope(I'm so miserable eh) I smiled as I imagined it's wee spirit fly away little wings , legs dangling--just make-believe .
The cats innocent instinct , the mouse's sad fate.
Things have to be hard for one easy for another.. cruel circus

love. i am very cognizant of the benefits of faith - to me it boils down to - does one Believe Something or not? I'm sure mouse would agree.

But I spoke to my good friend from high school regarding this recently, a convert from Catholicism to Evangelicalism and she didn't.

There wasn't room for belief vs. disbelief -- i'm not making sense, am i?

i have no faith in anything. and everytime i mention that to my hubby, he winces (he didn't when he was 25) and everyone around me winces. i almost defended the freakin' scientolgists at a brunch the other day with miss sunday school mam telling me how scary alternative folk are (i.e. wiccan) - have i mentioned that? :)

BUT, I "HOPE". Is that you, Dr. Eamer Z? Do you "HOPE"? I hope there is a plan set in motion by Mr. God (or gods - I still prefer that) and I can certainly see how our brains could be a conduit to that.

I honestly have sensed you hovering, my dear, above me as i fall asleep, or at least a darn good impression of you. :)

Watch some good movies from the 1920's - mid 1940's. Seriously. For some reason...

Hope...
I've experienced and still do 'spiritual' places/shifts from this reality..but I feel uncomfortable in discussing them..but
One brief event (out of my body)was beyond euphoric..a thoughtless bliss..I've never re-experienced that 'feeling' ..I've had some horrid ones too
Zee brainz as toolz are capable of percieving many realities it needs that essence/soul to probe it's many corridors and opening the correct doors finding and taking the gems from inside to carry on our outer journey...no gems no joy : )
Why should I question the un-answerable , the universe plays tricks or maybe i'm paranoid : )
