into my own brand of faith--based on the good things my soul already knew to be true, and discarding the horrible things.
But with the f***ed up station of the world, largely tied Judao-Christian and Islam, I am going through a period of anti-judaism/christianity/islam--basically anti-bible. It's such a contradictory book--and so full of horrible things that makes one wonder what the hell to believe.
My delving into raja yoga left me disillusioned, too--because I can't seem to abide the necessity of a yogi.
But perhaps the seeminly utterly lost space I find myself in--dejected, dissilusioned, on meds forever, totally confused to the point of indulging in escapism--maybe it's the "path" I "should" be on.
I have been considering attending a Quaker service (Society of Friends), which is very liberal, thoughtful, and yet based on Christianity.
Anyway, this is just my bloggish note, I suppose, not meant to provoke, inspire, or confuse.

Yes, you will find the Quaker church to be open to whatever idea of 'God' you have. Everyone there can have their own relationship with God, and the experience of being in the meetinghouse and opening up to GOd is stressed. My family and I went to quite a few meetings this winter in our search for a church we all felt comfortable and it was very inviting to everyone. People can stand up and speak if they are inspired to , and some did speak about a passage in the Bible that inspired them, some spoke of seeing God's hand in secular life. It was very thoughtful.

As a person reads through posts on this board they receive many invitations to go here or there. If you are a Christian but not a Christian, then I invite you read the Boook of Mormon. http://scriptures.lds.org/
It is a Christian book (testamant of Jesus Christ) but is not tied to any Christian religion (Christian by definition of Nicean creed). It's an amazing book that can fill your soul with understanding and wisdom. It teaches pure doctrine, and there is not one thing about it that contradicts the Bible. Because it is a later version of an earlier record than the Bible, (1200 BC - 400 AD) and because it was hidden away for centuries, there has been no tampering with it's words. I believe the Bible to be the word of God, and believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God also. But don't take my word for it, you can find out for yourself by reading it.Lots of opposition from those who fight against the church, but nevertheless, it's true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands alone, without a tie to any other religion on the earth.

You talked as if you might be floundering.... The following are quotes; somewhat intriguing I must say....
"The [ABSOLUTE] is here and has been revealed."
"A commitee put God into motion. God was. God is. God always will be. God is not a person. God is a process in motion."
"...and now that we have advanced ourselves to a point that we can accept and understand, the [ABSOLUTE] has been revealed. In other cultures, from other periods in time, and other regions of the Universe, the [ABSOLUTE] has been referred to as 'God's Boss'."
Hmmmm..... Maybe Andy Kaufman IS "bigger than Jesus", as he proclaimed after his resurrection three days ago....
Just some curiosities I'm reporting....

I don't understand; I hadn't written any of the items you're ostensibly attributing to me...
