Dinah's dad is very ill now. I thought this would be a nice place to close our eyes for a minute and send out our prayers to Dinah, her dad, and mom.

Thank you for posting this, Emmy. I am quite a lurker, but every time I have posted with my own hurts, Dinah is always there with a few kind words. As she is for everyone. Quite an amazing and lovely woman, actually. (Not that I wouldn't feel for anyone whose parent was this ill - no matter how they behaved on Babble, of course..)She must be going through so much stress and heartache at this moment. Prayer is the one thing we can do. I will pray for God to give her strength. My Dad is about to turn 80. His health is stable right now. But that will likely change, and he lives 1200 miles away, is a widower and I am an only child. So, I may experience some of what Dinah is facing at any time. It's very scary to contemplate.
So sad for Dinah...-10DerHeart (aka Deb)

Oh Dinah, this is a profound time.
Our parents are very special to us.
I honor you and your family at this time of transition.
My thoughts are with you.

And thank you, Emmy. I think thoughts and prayers were answered. He died at peace and without pain. There were no difficult decisions for me or my family. He was given an extra month or so to put everything in order with God and with friends and family since he almost died last time and started to decline.
He tried hard to stay until my brother got home, I think. But I know my brother will understand that he just couldn't do it.
