I should be at church worshipping but my kids' still have a cough, and we leave for our trip tomorrow so I am home getting everything ready.
I just sat and here and realized, that as a Christian, the best day of the year really is Easter.
Christmas is wonderful and of course, Christ birth was a beautiful/miraculous thing but He came to Die. That was His purpose.
So Easter represents His purpose fulfilled and our hope renewed.
So I wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter!
Now I'm off to color easter eggs- my 5 year old decided he would rather do it today than last night!

Thanks Spriggy...and I hope you also have a blessed Easter. I just came home from church and sang HE LIVES! Great words...
I serve a risen Savior He's in the world today
I know that He is Living, whatever men may say
I see his hand of mercy,I hear His Voice of
Cheer....And just the time I need Him....He's always, Near......
He LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!
He LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
along Life's narrow Way...
He LIVES!!!!!
He Lives.....salvation to impart... you ask
me How I know He LIVES...HE lives within my heart!Hope everyones has a great day....

Thanks Spriggy...the traditional Easter greeting I grew up with is "He is Risen!" To which you respond "He is risen indeed."
He is risen...

I echo your wish for a happy Easter, but would like to include all, not just Christians.

Oh yes, of course. But this discussion seemed to be aimed towards those who celebrate the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, and those people tend to be Christian.
But to those who aren't, I suppose Easter could be looked upon as a celebration of spring and new life. So I hope everyone had a wonderful day on Sunday.
This is the end of the thread.
