My SIL's losses in Iraq

Posted by fayeroe on May 26, 2008, at 19:19:16

I am grieving for the loss of his youth and his health, his joy, the fact that he has PTSD and can't get professional help. It is so hard to see him slip away.

Keep him in your thoughts.

Oh I sure can relate to your losses as my Son in Desert Storm with the 82nd Airborne was blinded and lost two fingertips in an explosion and also has PTSD. Six operations has s touch of sight with scopes and is now working without pay for the DAV and Vets. Just set up an office in DC and testified at a Senate meeting is trying to go once a week to Walter Reed Hospital where he was to see the amputees and other injured troops helps host dinners. The Military did pay for him To get A Degree in Social work summa cum laude. But so far the Va is not producing a paying job as they said they would. Also be thankful he is home as many troops are waking blind and they don't know why. Scarey stuff . So sorry. Hope he is intact physically. Phillipa
