I don't usually ask for help for myself. I'm scared to death. I have fears about my health anyway but this is the last straw. I was in the ER night before last had abdominal pain for three days coming in waves. They did a CT on me with contrast and determined Diverticulitis. I'm not afraid of that. It's the abnormal labs that came back. All my liver enzymes were double the normal. And RBC's etc were slightly low. Was told by the ER doc to have my labs retested yesterday by my primary. Went there he said come back in a month. That they probably would be normal then. But all my google searches have turned up cirrhosis, tumors, nothing about diverticulitis. I have to know if this is normal to have elevated enzymes with diverticulitis. I'm 60 years old. Love Phillipa

It could be your meds. My liver enzymes were elevated last time too and my pdoc says we'll run them again this month. She said it might be a fluke or it might be the meds. BUT she said that studies suggest that you can go up to 3x normal and it can be safe. (Both of us will cry if I have to stop something that is finally working!)

My liver enzymes are always elevated. Fatty liver.

Dinah saw the GI guy today he said that fatty liver they don't know why people get it but it's not cirrhosis. I'm googling it now. Love Phillipa
