Male Doctor/Gyn

Posted by Amandafran on September 19, 2006, at 20:15:36

I Have just recently switched Primary Care Doctors that was a female to where I now go to a male family practitioner. My Gyn is female but my thought was that if I felt brave enough I could venture out and stick with my family practitioner and have a one stop shop kind of deal :) My question is ...are males more sensitive than female gyn docs? Or are they not. I know it varies with each person...but I need someone that is calm and easy going and I do love my gyn I am with now..but I also have a lot of respect for my new doctor and so I dont know what to do. I just want to hear from others what their experience is with Male GYN/ Family Practice Docs.
Any advice and/or help would be great. Or if there is a male GYN out there that can provide info to me that would be great too.
Thanks.
AF

I really think it depends on the person.

If you need an exam and he gives you one then I guess you will know whether you are happier with him or with the other lady.
