I went for a walk and now can't stop crying

Posted by ClearSkies on September 19, 2007, at 8:45:42

Something's triggered, yes it is. Don't know what. It's a rainy day. My little toe is hurting, but not that much! But I'm so very sad. Maybe walking allowed me to think too much. It feels really pathetic.

And my words are falling off the end of the cursor like lemmings off a cliff. Boom. Boom. Boom.

I can't get New York City out of my head. I can't get the sadness out of my head. Maybe this is grieving and the walking started the process again? I don't know.

I decided to call my therapist and see if she can see me this week, instead of just sitting with this feeling. I do feel an enormous pressure to brighten up before our Big Vacation on the 28th of the this month, and I can't paste on a happy stupid smile.

And nobody ever reads this f*cking board. Or rather nobody ever posts here. I'm invisible.

Thanks for seeing me, Zen.

It felt like forever until my T called back with an appointment opening for me (Friday). It was an awful day, really, full of tears. I never did get any of the little things done that I meant to. Today is a bit better but the tears are just below the surface. I'm trying to do the right thing in calling my T. I've been seeing her every other week but there seems to be a lot of Stuff lately. I guess part of this is not knowing if I'm being needy in wanting to talk things out with her; but there is just a feeling like I'm on the cusp of something here, and I'm also trying to trust my intuition more.

on the cusp of something sounds like a difficult place to be.

the unknown is scary.

not easy doing therapy when stuff comes up and then there are breaks (planned holiday) coming up as well.

of course you're needing to talk things out--isn't that therapy?! no really...makes sense you're wanting this and needing this after so many years of not being able to admit to needs or act on getting needs met.

sounds like a positive albeit hard step to take on this path of progress.

unsure when you leave on travels so wishing you a bon voyage! now.
