#1fan,
You really need to *seriously* consider going to the doctor about this, the sooner the better. What you describe doesn't sound like run-of-the-mill heartburn, etc., but something more. It's important to discover the cause and how best to treat it ASAP. There are many things available, but your MD can't help if he/she doesn't know about it. This can do damage to the esophagus left untreated.
Please take care of yourself.
sincerely concerned, - 10der

#1fan could be a lot of things stress does this to me at least I hope it's stress and yes it's horrible. I do the Tums too. And what l0der says is true. Could errode the esophagus. Or maybe it is the acid reflux from stress? Phillipa

your#1fan, I know of a product that might help, it helps me and I have IBS and a rare type of collitis. It is called Power Barlely Formula. If you want to research it the website is globaldnasolutions.com. It helped my come off cymbalta which called my collitis to be discovered. The cymbalta made it flare so badly I was sent to ER by my doctor and to a gastro specialist. he put me on a medication that interacted badly with topamax and cymbalta so I found this product from a website that is dedicated to helping people come off medications that are somewhat addictive to the body which Ad's are to an extent. Anyway, this product has helped me trememdously. It calms the stomach, colon and helps the entire gastro system calm down. Research it and see if you think you might find it helpful. I liked it because it doesn't take over the functions of the gut but aids it. rk
