Hello,
I have never been on a message board before but am interested in getting off effexor, which I take for bipolar II. Effexor has been very helpful in alleviating depressive symptoms and muscle pains. I have been taking 300mg a day for about 3 years. Unfortunately, effexor is causing delayed orgasm to the point that my wife and I are having difficulty conceiving. WE REALLY WANT TO GET PREGNANT. I am extremely worried about the side effects, especially "brain shivers" that I have experienced when I have attempted getting off the drug in the past. I would love to hear from anybody with any good tips, or with a similar story.

Hello and welcome to Babble :-)
Glad you found us. I have reposted a copy of your post over on the withdrawal board as you are more likely to get helpful responses over there. Here is a link:http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/wdrawl/20050228/msgs/471572.html
Feel free to post to any of the boards.
And to respond to other people, of course.
Hope you like it here.
This is the end of the thread.
