Hello,
I have been suffering from depression/ anxiety since my early teens. I used to have ups and downs, but after college, there were many more downs than ups. I've tried prozac, lexapro, and cymbalta. I am now on paxil, xanax for panic attacks, and ambien for sleep help. And, just to keep things interesting, I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuropathy a few months ago, and am trying meds for that (tegretol, baclofen, and now neurontin). I see a wonderful psychologist weekly. She has been a God-send, as the other shrink I saw seemed bored by my presence in the room. Anyway, because of illness, can't work... depression is worse because of illness... but I try to keep a smile on and keep trudging through... there's lots of us out there...

hi, nice to meet you. I can relate to the long term depression. I envy you having found a treater you like and trust. I'm still working on that part.
I've never heard of your illness, but can relate that physical illness combined with depression is a real whammy. It sounds like you have a good psych meds. combo. At least it would be for me, we all vary.Anyway there is lots of support and interesting info here so jump in whenever you feel inspired.
