I came upon this site accidentally while trying to find out what medication Andrew Solomon said he took to offset the weight gain of anti-depressants. He was on a PBS special called DEPRESSION: Out of the Shadows. All that hunting somehow linked me to this site and I am thrilled to be a part of it. The only thing I see as a problem is a lot of abbreviations (not lingo) that are unknown to me. Do you have a glossary? It sounds perfect for me, and I don't even know where to post first. I am looking forward to the communications and, mostly, the support (which I do NOT have in my life).

about the lingo, you'll catch on. i know pdoc is your head doctor. ummm, what else? actually i can't think of any others right now (oh yeah, ad is antidepressant).
i'll send along more, if they come to me, but you can always just send out a little ntoe saying 'hey, what's this mean?' and people are usually pretty happy to help out around here (unlike the irs! sheesh, don't get me started!)
i hope you find support here. i know i've been very lucky to have made many good friends, right here on this board (sounds creepy, eh? :)
take care and if you need anythign shout out at me. i'm usually on social or self esteem (the BEST board in the universe!!)

Welcome! The green icon only shows up with your very first post. And only on the main page for the board, not under "thread" on the separate pages for each post.
