Yes, hello, I have some OCD type behaviours...what do you want to talk about? Mainly I have a fear of contamination, or poisoning myself.... sigh. Very real. Its particulary bad in the evenings. About now in fact. In fact, I was cruising the boards to take my mind off it.
Kind regards
Meri

My son has severe OCD and is currently in a very intensive program in California to address it. He's doing a lot better now than he was 3 weeks ago and still has around 3 weeks left. He's had OCD since he was 6 years old (he's now late teens) and it got so bad that he wasn't able to go to school or anything. I'm happy to talk about it more as well.

I live in the uk and i started with an unusual ocd after a 12 year bad relashonship...i picked big holes in my face and body which left me looking like a disease or bomb victim..im at the end of my recovery with no help from the dr's in the uk ...who in my case are ignorant unbothered and negligent in there practise..my partner googled my ocd...and even then the doctor did not know or try to learn anything about why this woman was doin this to hrself... its a rare one but its very comman ....in secret so many people stay in hiding with shame an lack of understanding so it needs to be out and seen as a very serious ocd that leads to all kinds of problems.im scared all over..i was infecting my wounds over an over till i went green ..........i was just left to feel like i was a silly self harmer and nothing was ever done to try...i am doing the self help with my supportive partner... its hard but can be done... hope you find all the help you need and wish anyone with this unusual and embarressing life destroying ocd .. all the best in a fast recovery... uk dr's are soo behind compared to the us...its sucks.. xxx

Welcome! And sorry about not replying sooner. I'm glad you posted something about that type of OCD, the more awareness there is of it, the better.
