Hi. I've just joined Psychobabble. Psychobabble is not new to me though. I've followed the discussions on it -mostly in the Medication forum- for years.
For what it's worth, my diagnosis is, officially, Bipolar Spectrum disorder. Unofficially, I am also diagnosed with attention-deficit disorder, nonhyperactive type. I realize this doesn't tell anybody a whole lot about me and why I'm here. But this does allow me to avoid going into unwieldy detail without leaving an awkward question mark.
There is one bit of my "long story" I would like to briefly share here though. With recent improvements in my condition (last three months) in lieu of a serendipitous medication change, my interest in Psychobabble has begun to turn away from 'mining' it for Medication related information, towards more of the Psychosocial, etc. In other words, now that I'm on a medication regimen that seems to be working at least *well enough* finally, I'm now in the pursuit of long neglected (or rather, prevented) personal/emotional healing and growth. In my late forties now, I'm hopeful for the first time in 30 years that I just might get some degree of "happiness" (whatever that is) out of my life, after all.
