"What Republicans do have going for them is an opposition that is only marginally less pathetic than the Australian Labor Party.
Nothing exemplified this more than the release of the Democrats national security plan, called Real Security, whose banalities had to be read to be believed.
The poll-tested document is basically visionless, resting as it does on a shopping list of verities such as its promise to 'destroy terrorist networks like al-Qaeda'.
Well, one supposes it might be a good idea."
Tony Walker, Australian Financial ReviewOK, so it's not country specific. Why is this? How come the left/centre (whatever) is so clueless? I hope noone finds that offensive. (I'm obviously a supporter of it.)
Any ideas??

I'd love to answer. And I will, but my brain can't do it justice today.

Sorry, but I do think people could feel offended by being referred to as clueless. The last time you were blocked it was for 2 weeks, and I'm making this for another 2 weeks (see below).
But please don't take this personally, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person.
If you or others have questions about this, posting policies in general, or enforcement, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.
Thanks,
Bob
PS: I'm trying out a new system, see:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20060412/msgs/632491.html
period of time since previous block: 18 weeks
particularly uncivil to other posters: no
different type of incivility: no
clearly didn't understand PBC and made effort to reply: no
provoked: no
uncivil in number of posts at same time: no
already archived: noIf we take 18 weeks and divide by 10, that's a reduction of 1.8, rounded down to 1, week. If we apply that to your previous block, that's 2 - 1 = 1 week. And if we double that, that's 2 weeks.

I was told there would be no math...
Just kidding, Dr. Bob. I actually like it when you share your thinking processes.
