we don't have rights

Posted by alexandra_k on July 9, 2019, at 2:56:47

in this country.

we have laws against discrimination against people on the basis of group membership.

but we don't have human rights.

if people enslave others...
if people repeatedly and systematically violate their rights to education and housing and employment and so on and so forth...

everything is okey dokey business as usual.

just so long as they aren't particularly targeting members of a specific group.

so...

there aren't any people here.

i was correct about that.

there aren't any persons, here.

there aren't any government departments that are supposed to make people follow any of the rules or laws either.

mostly our laws or rules are not written down on paper.

they might be online... they are updated / rewritten / vanished quite frequently.

you can phone the number.
you can email the email address.
you can write the address (if one is provided).

they will not respond to say they got your complaint within 3 working days.

they will not inform you what their process is.

because they do not have one.

they will not inform you what their review process is.

because they do not have one.

mostly it is 'we will assign you a mediator'. which is a person you have a chat to. chatty chat chat chatty chat chat. there we go. that's it.

the mediator is the guardian of the forms.

if they decide to give you one.

if they have one.

people refuse to apply process / regulations / laws to me.

if we even have any.

i don't know what to do.

the people like it here. the people they choose to give money to. they choose to stay here.

they choose to be part of the problem and not part of any kind of solution at all, that i can see.
