I would encourage you to read this book. After you read this book you might understand better why psychiatry is so mired down in subjective BS. I have personally found many older psychiatrists still believe in Freudian ideas, despite the claims that Freud is dead in psychiatry. Freud is not dead in psychiatry, particularly among psychiatrists and psychologists who were trained in the old days such as the fifties, sixties and seventies.
Many, many severely mentally ill were made worse by applying Freudian psychology BS to them. This is an abomination.
