Hi -- just found this site today, and am hoping someone out there may be able to help me. I have been using Paxil successfully for over 10 years, but was having trouble with weight gain, so my doctor just switched me to Lexapro. Has anyone out there done the same switch? How did it work for you? Paxil helped me IMMEDIATELY when I began taking it, and I'm hoping that switching to Lexapro won't involve a long wait for it to be effective for me -- any comments on this?

Hello, and welcome to Babble.
This site has a number of boards, and it can get confusing at times. This board is Psycho-Psycho Babble about therapy and psychology. There is also the medications board Psycho-Babble (one Psycho). Since your question is about medications, I have taken the liberty of redirecting it there, since you're more likely to get responses there.
You can follow the links at the top of the page (and also get an overview of all the boards on the site). And you can follow the link below to your post on Psycho-Babble.

I hope this helps.
