Effexor

Posted by atxbelle2000 on October 15, 2002, at 19:09:52

I've been on effexor about 7 weeks. I was at 37.5 mg for 3 weeks and then my dr. moved my dosage up to 75 mg. I take them once in the mornining. My body had trouble adjusting to the 75mg. Dr. then decided to drop back to 37.5 for one week and then told me to stop taking them. I've had nothing but problems with this med. If there was a side effect to this med, I've had it!! I don't know what to do. I'm back to taking 37.5mg in the a.m. I'm still having some of the side affects, but not as bad as they were before. My body is EXTREMELY sensitive to different things, such as new meds, and caffine. I would like to know how long others had these side effects, seeing as how I'm a sophmore in college, this effexor is affecting everything, class, my roomate, my bf, my grades.

Hi and welcome to babble.

There are several different boards on this site. This is Psycho-Psycho Babble, dedicated to the discussion of therapy and pychological treatments. There is also a medication board, Psycho-Babble (one Psycho). Since your post was about medications, I took the liberty of redirecting it there, since you're likely to get more responses on that board. You can follow the links at the top of the page (and see what other boards Babble has to offer), or you can go directly to your post on the medication board by following the link below.

I hope this helps.
