Well I am going to try it [dbt]. I know it is hard, but T. tried to crack down on me today and I got mad so we decided I should 'be cracked down upon' by someone else=dbt. terrrics

Good luck with it. It's hard, but it has excellent results.

Good luck! I did find it helpful. Stick with it even when it gets hard.

My T integrates DBT into my therapy sessions. I have alot of things to work on, so I think this is the best situation. It's probably not as hard this way as in the regular course, but it will take longer.
Good luck with it, it is worth it.
Dee.

Thanks all for the good luck. To Fallen4myT: I read much of Dr. Linehan's book, not the workbook though. It sounds difficult, but I'll try anything not to live like I am living. I'll let you all know how it is. I sure hope they take my insurance as pdoc says it takes 6 months to a year. terrics

Hey Terrics I am so sorry youre in such a hard spot right now (me too) but the up side, is youre now willing to do ANYTHING not to suffer as you have so youre apt to find the true way out. I have never read any of her books but that one and paid a pretty good price for it.I think it was FOR T's really not for the clients..I half read it..My friend who went to DBT did so in like wow half day work groups or sessions or whatever ya call it for many weeks In the end she REALLY did well by it. Ended up she got a job , had been years ..she loves it and travels too so many things she never thought... it was a God send to her. I will pray you do well and I am here any time ya wanna talk.

Hi, I'm here too. This seems to be a good board. Makes me feel like I have friends and that BPD is an illness not a sin. terrics
