Hi,
I just had a thread before and answered my questions fully on AD's. Now, a very serious issue I hope some people here share experiences with or expertise.
I was on Accutane as a junior in high school. I'm a soph in college now. When I came off of it, I had terrible withdrawal, to the point of being unable to get out of bed or walk more than a couple steps without becoming too exhausted or overcome with emotion. What I would like to know, frankly, is this:
If you know of any people or have conjectures about said reactions causing permanent brain impairment, to the extent that I may not be able to function in the capacity that I could prior to the Accutane? Are such life altering impacts possible from a medication that is basically a superintense concentrated form of Vitamin A?
The reason for my asking is that I have ruled out AD's causing my poor performance in college. The only two remaining possibilities are: (1) a permanent impact as a result of the Accutane disaster; or (2) I busy myself with the fun parts of college and otherwise have not managed my time well enough to provide for enough in order to do well in classes.
I take this issue very seriously. Thank you for your well considered responses.
