Yes...believe it or not, it's true. I met this girl in one of my classes who is going through some similar things as I am (as far as mental illness is concerned). I talked to her for about an hour and a half. Told her tons of things that I haven't even told my T (but stuff I have told you guys). I'm so amazed at myself. A friend and and intimate discussion all in the same day. I can hardly belive it! Thank you Lord!!

Wow! That's so exciting. Believe me, I know how difficult it is to find a friend. First they have to pass all my near stifling tests of true dedication and loyalty, and they also have to be smart enough, but not smarter than me.....
Needless to say I haven't got a big ring of folks in the non-virtual world, except for one girl, who I nearly lost because of my insecurities and impossible demands. It's hard because she has a lot of friends, so we can't see each other much, but she and I have a great time together. Yay for you!
What things were you able to talk to your new friend about? You must be feeling great after communicating with another person, not a T, but just another girl. It's nice!

Real life friends are wonderful. They can actually *see* how you are looking, and *hear* the tone of your voice, and - most importantly - they can HUG you.
I'm so glad you found someone that you clicked with. That is a wonderful feeling.

I'm so happy for you Elle! It's great when you just "click" with a person from the start. What made you be able to open up to that person, but not your therapist? Maybe the stars? Anyway, I'm glad that you found someone to connect with and I'm sure it will lead the way to many slumber parties and clothes swapping in the future for you. Lucky girl, she is to meet such a nice and sweet and beautiful lady like you. Be sure and tell her how lucky she is to have met you, ok? Well, maybe not at first, as not evreyone can act like me and get away with it.....
And Elle.. I'm GLAD you're back. I'd miss you so much if you stayed away too long. So, I'm telling you now, you can't ever leave unless I give the go ahead first, ok? :) (Not to pressure you or anything, because I know that you really enjoy and need your privacy, but if you ever want to email me, my email is in the member's page... I’m so happy for you! And I’m happy for your new friend, too. She got pretty lucky the other day, didn’t she?
It’s so nice when you can find someone you connect with and I think with a lot of the issues we’re all dealing with here, those people can be tough to find IRL. Good for you and nice to see you posting!
