I have gad and just recently changed medications The lexapro that I changed to 9osage that I changed to is now at 20) doesnt seem to be working, while the anxiety is now gone I ams now failry depressed. I see my dr on monday, but I dont know what role therapy will take into this. I don't have a therapis, just my psych doctor. how do you know if you need to put yourself in the hospital?

If you feel totally unsafe with yourself, I would say go to the hospital.

I dont feel unsafe, just hopeless and tired, I'm very scared and stressed out, I dont know what to do.

Therapy is supposed to be a safe place to share these feelings. I can understand your feelings. I have those a lot too. Try pacing things to meet your tolerance and don't take on more than you can handle. These feelings are very hard to deal with, but having support does help make the load lighter.

the hospital is for when you can no longer care for yourself, whether it be because you are a danger to yourself or you've stopped being able to care for yourself for whatever reason (which is just as dangerous).
