My pdoc has this in addition to MD beside her name. Anyone know what it means? Please let me know before I make up something derogatory;)

probably Fraternity of American Psychiatric Association or something like that. Just my guess.

Since the APA is a membership organization, I wonder how one becomes a "fellow" or "distinguished fellow," other than by paying the annual dues of $540? Does one automatically become a "fellow" after paying dues as a "general member" for seven years?
