OK, so for those that don't know me, after struggling with BPD for many years, and getting heavily involved in the "service user" movement (even to the point of affecting government policy), I returned to work, and now work for a fantastic, really forward thinking, personality disorder service as a project manager.
I share an office with the head of service, and we have decorated it with a fish theme!! For christmas, I am getting a gold fish bowl and two gold fish for it.
Anyway.. I want their names to have a psych theme to them.. like.. um.. Freud and something..
So, I come to you for advice!!!

I like Ying and Yang.. as we're a mainly DBT service, we have quite a buddhist slant to things (I have alittle shrine slowly growing in the office for example.. a thai buddha, a ho tai, some lucky bamboo, a gong, currently a little plastic christmas treet (very smart.. from a great japanese shop called muji), and a book of mindfulness poems)..
I like Sigmund for one of them.. but I'm not sure about Karl.. though I think its growing on me *L*

Hi! that seems like fun!
I wanted to tell you something so you don't have problems with the fish..
I've had goldies for a long time now.
It's better if you get them a tank, unfortunately in a fish bowl, they get sick quite easily, they don't have enough space..they get sick because the space is not enough and they produce waste which are toxic if the tank is not big enough to produce the good bacteria that are needed for them to be healthy in a healthy tank. and also they need a lot of oxygen, which is lacking in a bowl.
sorry, but I wanted to tell you, because when you begin with fish and you keep them in a fish bowl, you suffer a lot because you end up losing them. Contrary to popular belief, they don't belong in bowls. They need more space. The bigger the tank the better.
I've had the experience of keeping them in a small tank at first and I suffered the consequences (and so did they). EVerything changed completely with a big tank.
Especially goldfish. They produce a lot of waste and in a bigger tank, this waste is transformed and everything is stable.check this site:

I have goldfish that are now hibernating in my outside pond. They are about 4 inches long now.

What kind of dogs were those? Big ears, I remember...
Anyway, they were called Him and Her.
That was my only idea, no psych theme.
My aunt did have a cat named Schitzel, though, and my cousin named his cat Fritz, so you could have Schitzel & Fritz. ??
Want to help me name my T now?
