NOTE: re blocked chatters in chat-IMHO

Posted by muffled on January 15, 2007, at 14:16:27

People that are blocked can ONLY go to room 2.
When you enter chat you go into rm 1.
So if you in room one you won't know if a blocked chatter enters unless you rmember to check once in awhile.....
Just a thot.

Also,
You CAN be blocked in chat, but ONLY if someone complains to Bob, and he feels its justified. (hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, anyways....)
It is my sense that Deputies are NOT deputies in chat. They can be all themselves there. DO NOT expect them to be deputies there.(though I admit I've been known to ask questions of them....I don't expect or WANT them to moderate) I think that would be unfair as chat is meant to be a place of freedom for ALL babblers.

I also have found that chatters WILL back off for the most part if you let them know you have a prob with something going on. JUst tell us chatters so we can be more sensitive of your feelings.
I feel most chatters ahve NO intent to hurt.
Mebbe just need a reminder now and again from our fellows.

One last thing.
Mebbe Bobs OK.
He was in chat briefly and was decent enough.

I have hit the magic 3, I can post no more.
Just as well...

Muffy, do you want me to move this post to Admin or Social or anything? We can do it, we have the technology (sorry, I'm a reformed 6 Million Dollar Man fan).
