I really feel good about my T. I've only been seeing her since October, but I feel pretty close to her. She seems to know what she's doing, and doesn't under-react or over-react to stuff I tell her. She tells me stuff about how she might handle certain problems (like organization & procrastination) in her own life, and what has worked (and NOT worked) for her. She also seems to have a really excellent memory. Somethings I haven't talked about since October, but she still finds a way to bring them back into the discussion. She's able to show her own emotions when I cannot, and she seems very attuned to how I might react to certain situations.
Most of all, I like her voice. She has a southern accent and is really warm. Do I dare say comfy? Can a person be comfy? Well she is. I grew up in the south, so hearing her voice makes me feel at ease somehow.

I'm glad you are working with someone you feel close to. I'm glad she is comfy. It makes all the difference when the going gets rough.
Voices are really important aren't they? I think that is why my therapist is so good on the phone. He has this great way of saying, "yeah, I know."
sigh. Wish I could bottle it.

hey that's really cool that you are clicking with your T, it really will help.
I'm from the south too and whenever I hear a southern accent, I relax too.
My T is from the low country (near the ocean) in my state and has a moderate drawl. It sneaks out every now and again.
It is comfy.
