Depression or anything that you deem a problem

Posted by gemfish65 on July 17, 2007, at 9:11:18

If you want true answers to all your miserable problems--that is anything that ails you read Afraid of God. The problem is always in the mirror. It is nothing outside of us it is in fact inside of us internal conflict with our surroundings, our appearance, popularity, approval, wealth, status, you know. Our problems arise out of ourselves. We are egomaniacs with inferiority and insecurity issues. That is a total inside conflict. Take of the mask. Stop being the actor and director. You will never be able to control your surroundings. Only your own role in the surroundings. Get over your insecurities and inferiorities and you will be fine. It must be addressed with honesty. You are this way so face it and stop denying it. Chase it down and destroy it. We are a bundle of superior thoughts, negative thoughts and inferior thoughts. This is why we are so messed up. Then THEY said we have a pill to help you. This is exactly how and why it was set up. It is there for us to seemingly fail in. It does make THEM a lot of money however.

So the possability of actual problems with brain chemistry cant be real eh,so i suppose people with parkinson,or epiletics,or severe migraine sufferers just need to look in the mirror, people like u make me sick, and make it harder for us to get real help.

The body is chemical, consiting of tons of vitamins, minerals, nuerotransmitters and a million other things we havent even touched base on,i wonder how people like u can be so totaly clueless,i hope u and others like u dont ever, ever, ever take aspirn for a headache,or cold medicine, because if u cant respect the possability that the brain like the rest of the body can fall ill due to chemical disorders, than you should think no differently of the entire body as no other single part is NOT prone to illness, every part of the human body can get sick, why people believe the brain is an execption is BEYOND me,im insulted and offended by that CRAP U JUST WROTE,GO AHEAD AND BAN ME,BUT THIS CRAP INFURIATES ME.

It would be very odd if, given all organs in the body can become physically ill, the brain, the most complex of all, didn't

Why would you post something like this..the people on this board are here for support and to support one another..basically what you are saying is to throw away the meds and "pull our socks up" or "snap out of it" all by reading one book..your tone is inflammatory and antagonistic and many on this board will find this insulting..we are all unigue individuals who have been fighting the good fight against our illnesses for a long time..

Why are you even posting here?
Do you honestly think an organ as complex as the brain, an organ that's not even close to being understood by scientists, can't possibly have an illness?

Do you have a link to 'Afraid of God'?

It is a book?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom?

Maybe not?

Each of us have differing abilities to face our problems. I know a woman who was able to "look in the mirror" and find her way out of depression (by means of a year long inpatient stay and intensive group therapy). But who's to say that she wasn't "wired" with the ability to do so. I know many who simply cannot overcome mental difficulties, not for lack of trying.

Try wrapping your mind around the theory of quantum mechanics and consciousness and you'll see that the whole concept is not so easy.

In the meantime, let's all support one another.

Zatar I don't know how far we can get in understanding consciousness (a la Roger Penrose) by using quantum mechanics, or anything. His attempts are described in "The Emperor's New Mind" and "Shadows of the Mind". I was lucky enough to attend 3 lectures by the Great Man a few years ago, but the consciousness explanation left me unconvinced. Understanding consciousness is a bit like trying to bite your own teeth as Alan Watts says in "The Book on the Taboo against Knowing Who You are". Incidentally my small son claims says he *can* bite his own teeth!

Agreed. A lot of people troll online communities to see what kind of response they can get.

Sorry, but please don't post anything that could lead others (such as the poster of that message) to feel accused.

But please don't take this personally, either, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please first see the FAQ:
