I have therapy at 6:45 a.m. tomorrow and need to get myself to bed ASAP. Just wanted to say that I am starting a new job in Chicago and am in process of moving into the City right now--half there already. So, I probably won't be posting too much in the next few weeks. I will try, but no promises.

Congratulations on the new job! And the move! It sounds like things will be much better when you relocate closer to work and T.
I hope the stresses of all the change won't be a problem, but since the changes are good--and you're familiar with the area--I'm optimisitic that they won't be.

Hi RealMe,
6:45 a.m.? My T would have to call me and wake me up to do a phone session. I give you much credit for being able to do an early session and much credit for getting a new job. Fantastic.
Post when after you've unpacked a few boxes and can find your computer.

Good luck with the move. I would NEVER be able to get myself to a session at 6:45am!! That's impressive/dedication!
Take care,

Thanks everyone; not a lot of time right now. Glad for a fresh start; glad for more than one reason. As for 6:45 a.m. appointment, I do it twice per week, and it has meant getting up at 4:15 a.m. so I could drive to the train station to catch the 5:28 a.m. train that would get me to my destination at around 6:20 a.m. and then a ten minute walk to the office. He said he wanted to see me early before I could get my defenses up. HUM. Well it works; they aren't in place all that well yet. So maybe it is a good thing.

I have been moving everything out of my old office, and this weekend I need to get everthing out. They are supposed to come on Thursday to move my files out to the main office as my current office will be used by the roving judges. It is a nice office with wood paneling and all, but I am glad I won't be there in the courthouse.
My new office which I can't move into yet, of course, has a really nice big window overlooking a ravine and woods. I can't wait. I have been windowless for 10 years, and so I am looking forward to my new digs. I tossed lots of articles and other stuff, but it has been a chore taking books and journals home; I have my diploma's on the wall yet to take home and picutures and odds and ends. It is going to look really weird for my last two people who come in on Tuesday. Wednesday I write them up, and that is it.
The getting up early for therapy, though, is getting to me as I have a tendency to stay up until 1 a.m. on the days I have to get up at 4:15 a.m to go to therapy. Might this be resistance??? I think so. I get so mad at myself. I have made a promise to myself to go to bed no later than 11:00 p.m. next week, and the following week, I see him only once due to Rosh Hashanah. I sort of wish I could have an end of the day appointment instead, but maybe my therapist is right; I don't have my defenses up yet by going so early in the morning. Oh crap to it all. I hate it that I left my csa issues unresolved when I was at Menninger's. Oh well; there is no time like the present; I keep asking my therapist if it wouldn't be okay to just leave it be and try to manage without working on it. Hah. fat chancem I think. And,he is no dummy. He basically says no.
