sex drugs and rock'n'roll

yep. talked about pretty much all the good stuff today. Also about how my pdoc has Dx'd me with bipolarII and how this feels like a chronic mental illness. T was so kind. He asked me about some of my recent behaviors (that would include buying too many craft supplies, jumping from one project to another, weeding the entire garden one afternoon, retail therapy, lack of sleep, consuming 300+mg of caffeine a day, my martini habit, etc. then he said "well, you know that with this information I would need to ask you about mood swings" (I confessed to having a bitchiness mood swing yesterday. PMS, but nevertheless). I have been doing odd out of character things for a while, like driving the fast car, and odd spurts of (verbal) road rage, etc. fine.

and still he said that he sees no reason why my dx would interfere with my life goals and dreams.

then we talked about a very awkward subject. the female sexual response. (ackKKK!) but he made it seem not so awkward. Said that it was a lot more complex and complicated for women to be physically and psychologically gratified than for men. (duh) and how most people have "issues" about sex, but fail to acknowledge them.

etc.

and onto my martini habit. we did the little alcoholism screening. (I'm not alcoholic, btw) and then we proceeded to talk about a new Mexican restaurant in town. he said that they make fantastic margaritas. I told him 'umm, you're not helping' he responded- well, you can order a virgin margarita. 'a limeade?' he smiled and said "you're a big girl, you know how to make hard choices". etc.

then we talked about my fantastic potroast from 4 days ago. he wanted the recipe and was fascinated (seriously!!!) that the crockpot cooked a frozen lump of meat in 5 hours without burning the house down. (Frankly, I was amazed that the house emerged from potroast-cooking intact, as well).

rocknroll? Well, I guess we didn't get to that part...

He performed with a cane (polio) and later with a colostomy bag (cancer) which won me over.

that is a very unique film clip. Thank you for sharing his medical history, otherwise I would have thought him just another trench-coat-wearing-cane-swinging-rockstar

:)

Well, sometimes what 'others' think is just not all that important ;)

Most of the time I envy others' energy and zest. my h, for example. He doesn't even consume half the caffeine I do!.

I'll be careful. I decided to take .5mg of klonopin to stabilize my mood after getting a little too "out there" last night. tweaking a bit, in love with the world, intoxicated, etc.

so now I'm back to my own proper self.
