Thanks, Happyflower. I'm doing okay. Things didn't go as I'd expected at all. I'd planned to talk to him about a few things that happened over the weekend, but he ended up trying to get me to focus on a lot of seemingly unrelated events from my childhood. That really surprised me--he doesn't usually lead the conversation so much. I didn't get too emotional, but *he* almost cried a couple of times, which was both really disconcerting and really moving.

I don't know. Now I miss him a lot. Feeling so attached is hard. We talked a lot about my parents. I've always thought that they were very decent, as parents go, and I love them both very much--but we've started to explore some of the ways in which they really messed things up, and that is hard for me. Especially because it's making me wish that he were my mom/dad, and I've never felt that way about anyone before. Very confusing. I see him again on Thursday, which isn't too far off, thankfully.

Good luck on your appointment tomorrow. The issue will surface, believe me, it always does. It is okay that things didn't go exactly as planned. It is good you are feeling attached. It is scary but feels good at the same time, but it helps for you to trust him to work out the hards stuff.

Take care, and good luck
