So new T has not returned 2 phone call opportunities. This sucks. T's hours are variable, so I can't even say when he is in the office.
One call was a serious emergency. One call was a question.
This says to me:
1) I don't care about my clients
2) I don't want to be bothered
3) I don't want to talk to YOU
Would you bother seeing a T who does not return calls?

OMG, yes! But he knows I have issues with abandonment. I get upset if he doesn't call right back; makes me feel like he won't. But mine usually does.

Do you leave the messages on a machine or with a live person?
My therapist has given me permission, even encouraged me, to follow up on a call to remind him with something like "REMINDER. DINAH. CALL."
It might not be as polite if it had to be left with a real person.
One of his less charming attributes is his tendency to totally forget to call me.

My therapist will not return my phone call if I leave a message with this receptionist. Dont know why but he wont. SO, I usually email him or call his cell phone which he tells me is only for emergencies. He screens his calls a lot of the time, but usually he is pretty good about getting back to me. The easiest way it to email him though, I dont bother with his receptionist. She tells me she will give him the message and I am sure that she does, but it is just HIM deciding to not call me back..which hurts.
This is the end of the thread.
