on business and I hate it. Everything I love is at home.
I hate flying, well not so much the flying as the airports and all their crap. Delays etc...
I'm going to miss my therapy appointment and I've already been missing my therapist.
Sometimes I feel as though if I don't show up with a 1000 check in my hand he can't work me in at all.
It'll be another week.
I also hate the lonely hotel rooms, and the endless smiling and faked enthusiasm about my work. I'd much rather be in the lab working. I guess I'm turning into the reclusive scientist.
I'll post if I can get on the internet, some hotels have wireless, some don't.
At least you guys are portable.
Take care everyone.
Seldom.

More and more hotels are having internet access. I hope this one does.
I totally empathize. I hate traveling even for fun. If I had to do it for business, I'd be even more unhappy. Especially if I had to miss therapy.

Ha!
the first time I've been called "portable"I lol!
seriously though, it is NOT fun to sit and make mindless chatter with quasi-strangers, then retreat back to the hotel room feeling more isolated than ever.
Keep your mind busy-- do you have a good novel?

Hope that the time goes really quickly.
Maybe you can buy an interesting magazine or book to have at the hotel, so that the alone time can at least be somewhat enjoyable. How about some bubblebath so you can soak comfortably & read?
You're in my thoughts.
luv, Kath

I left early, just couldn't stand it anymore. Thanks to all that posted. I had to pay 10.00/24 hours for an internet connection at the hotel.
What a ripoff, I couldn't do it just on principle.
Seldom.
