I have a huge deadline at work - well actually its 2.5 weeks aways, but still I'm working in advance. Crisis with boss (who isn't but thinks she is).
Family problems abound, and ironically enough, *I'M* the most mentally sound person in the bunch.
I've got a kitty in failing health right beside me.
Therapist is of no help.
I don't think there is enough klonopin in the world to get me through the next couple of weeks.
EEEK! Double EEK! Might even be moving into the dreaded "drat" territory.
Just wanted someone to know that I am in stressvile - population me.
Seldom.

((((( seldom )))))
Why is it that problems come in bunches?
Like each one isn't enough on its own?
I've no right to give advice about stress, but are the other problems something that need to be fixed in the next two and a half weeks? Narrowing focus to just one step ahead in one direction is good sometimes.
If you need an ear, a place to vent, or anything else, you know there's always a place for you to do it.

Come to think of it, caves are good! Whenever you can, duck into your cave.

I'm learning with stress that there is a tightrope that I walk where I am just poised between a total, frenetic explosion and a complete shutdown. Sometimes, I just explode out into the universe like an overfilled balloon, other times I hide like a bunny in a briar patch.
The key is managing the stress until you neither the bunny nor the balloon, but a focused productive, balanced person.
At this particular moment, I am poised on the tightrope, getting stuff done. For me, the key seems to be drinking a lot of water, chewing a lot of gum and absolutely, positively eliminating any distraction. I could completely fall off at any minute, but just wanted to let yo know that I'm holding it together.
Seldom.

Seldom,
Well all I can add to this is I never have that part about getting stuff done. I told my husband sunday I wished I could be one of the Housewives of New York, or Atlanta or Orange County, one that has staff to do all that needs to be done so all I had to do was exist for me. but i am not that kind of housewife so it is a fantasy wish.
Sorry things are so tight and highstrung, but I do know that particular feeling. I often swing on a pedulum of anixety tightness or numbness where I feel nothing.
