I know this is a relationship question but trying to help a friend certainly not me at this age but she slept with a family members and her old therapist before he moved. One nighter. She's devastated. What advise can I offer her she's younger than me? Thanks. Phillipa

I'm sorry, I don't get what you are saying. Did she sleep with a family member, her old therapist, or her old therapist's family member or some combination of the above?

I read it that it was her therapist as well as a family member's therapist.
I have no advice for you, Phillipa. The therapist was very wrong to do that. It might be good for her to find a reputable, ethical T to deal with this.

I agree with TG. The therapist was in the wrong. If nothing else, it would be good for your friend to let the licensing board know what has happened so that this therapist doesn't hurt more patients.
I don't know how your friend sees it - how she felt about her therapist.
I think she could best get professional help to process this but you can also support her by being a good friend to her - be there for her when she needs someone to talk to. I imagine she must have a lot of feelings about what happened.
