Support group (social group? Unmoderated, etc)

Posted by Ray M. on October 15, 2000, at 14:28:51

I've heard of support groups which typically meet twice a month. Usually organized by some CSW.

What about something less formal, more frequent, etc.
(Not suggesting a group to replace the usual ones for support)

Any ideas, suggestions?

All stupid rants aside, I would welcome any suggestions.

Thank you and good night.

Let me get to the point this time. I don't know what all that rambling was about.

I'd like to set up a group of some kind. Not a support group, but more of a social group.

A group/meeting for depressed, strange, sad individuals, like myself. Something for the over-sensitive types.

Okay, that sure cleared things up.

Suggestions?

Thank you for the clarification! LOL I read your original post a couple of times, and wondered what it was about....

There is a site at e-groups that is more social than this, and it's called A Safe Haven. It is social in the sense that topics aren't limited to psych stuff, but we don't go out square dancing or anything!

If you'd like to join ASH you may want to go to www.e-groups.com and sign up. It takes a while for approval sometimes because moderator is very busy. But you might enjoy it.

Good luck.
Shar
