To everyone,
It is the recommendation of my therapist that I dislodge myself from this site, and go into long-term therapy. She said you guys will understand. And I trust that she has my best interest at heart.
Thank you for supporting my through the roller-coaster times. I think that I am at a point where I either need to get a lot of therapy or I'll lose my mind and do something that will land me in an asylum or jail.
Cheers and good health,
Rzip

I hope that your therapist is able to help you feel better. I think we have a lot in common, and thank you for sharing ways to help me from cutting. As you get better, do you think you can give an update? Please take care- Judy

Dear Rzip:
Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended: Good!
Now, how was that intended? Easy, you've got a lot to offer, kiddo, and I'm happy to think of you offering it to someone in the real world, someone who can offer you more than just words on a CRT display. Get out there and make some flesh and blood in front of you friends!
You can do it, and I hope that you're as happy as you should be. Remember, that self-consciousness you worry about is something you're likely to grow out of!
Take good care of yourself.

Hey there,
I think you're doing the right thing ... sounds like you have a mighty good therapist. Perhaps you can come back when things are looking better for you. Take care.
Snowie
P.S.: Hope you make a mighty good therapist yourself one day!

I think that Rzip's therapist needs a therapist.
I've found the people at this site are intelligent and supportive, and I can't imagine why she would object to discussing the ideas on this board unless she's uninformed and wishes to remain so.

I think the suggestion had to do with the obsessions Rzip was reporting having about Dr. Bob. And, she alluded to being preoccupied with a certain "Dr. H." at her college counseling center, which is *perhaps* a reference to Dr. Bob (Hsiung). I may be reading into it more than is there, but this is the impression I got, and when Rzip said her therapist suggested creating some distance from this board, it sounded like it made sense for her. The way I understood it was to prevent getting totally overwhelmed with the preoccupation.
