Have you thought of being a stand-up comic?
I was feeling really agitated, so I sat down at the computer to unwind. Your post "What is hospitalization for depression like?" gave me such a good belly laugh that my mood improved 100%. I guess laughter is the best medicine!PS I've never been into pottery, even without a negative experience.

I'm not one for crowds.... but thanks for your vote of confidence.
You know, laughter really is the best medicine. I often find that when I post here, or send emails to friends or co-workers, I usually start out depressed, and then funny things pop into my head so I have to share them.
Sometimes I get the "Oh grow up" response, but I also get funny responses and that usually cheers me up... better than any meds!
Anyway, Glad I could make you laugh... hope you have a great day.

Don't even ask about the 900 dollar mosaic trivet moldering someplace in my garage! I wish it didn't have quite so many similar projects to keep it company. 8-P

I think the idea behind the pottery is to keep the hands busy, thus keeping the mind busy and as a result relaxing from the stress or pain one is feeling. The secret is to find something that you'll actually enjoy.
My daughter got a rug-hooking kit for Christmas. I thought it would be boring but actually enjoyed it. She said, "It's not bad when you have nothing better to do!"
