a dreamer from Toronto

Posted by mila on April 21, 2001, at 2:48:36

Hello,

I am from Toronto, and I am looking for someone to get together on weekends and do some dreamwork.

if several people would reply, we can form a nice group.

hmm, with those who are not from Toronto, or are from Toronto, but are concerned with preserving their anonimity, and would like to give it a try, I wouldn't mind doing it via e-mail either:)

my e-mail is
liudmilav@home.com

thanks,
liudmila:)

Hey Mila,

How about weekend sessions for those within driving distance?
I'm not really kidding... I LOVE Toronto, and would love to meet you. From reading your posts, you sound like a lovely person, very empathetic...
What kind of dreamwork do you do? What about those of us on neurontin or other meds at night who cannot remember their dreams?
I was put on it recently for a hypomanic episode, and took half the regular dose the other night to see what the result would be, and had one terrible nightmare..

Best wishes & good luck with this,
Wendy

Hi Wendy !

Yes!

I live in High Park area, very easy to drive to my place.

of course, we can meet on weekends, or any day you'd be in Toronto. I am a university student (psychology), so my schedule is very very open.

I like Ulmann method for working with dreams in groups (if you haven't heard this name, maybe you read books by Jeremy Taylor, or Robby Bosnak, they use it too), or dream interviewing (method by Dr.Gayle Delaney)for beginners in pairs, or existential dreamwork with those who are heavily interested in their inner life and want to explore some new avenues for the future. With nightmares I found RISK method by Dr.Rosalind Cartwritght and Satisfy The Image method by Anne Sayre Wiseman to be the absolute best.

For those who cannot remember their dreams, it is possible either to work with previous dreams that they remember, or to persevere and pay attention every morning on what's on their mind right upon awakening. Anything goes, moods, feelings, thoughts, vague images or meanings, etc. Eventually, withing two weeks every one harvests their first full blown dream. That is exactly the time it took me to get my first dream 6 years ago. Before that I "never dreamt" at all. Not that i remember anyway.

please, e-mail me so that i can give you my address and phone #, and come, if you wish today, tomorrow, or whenever you want, except this Wednesday, when i have a final on abnormal psych course.

hugs
mila
