What a bunch of frivolous CRAP!
Do you think I can sue Phillip Morris for the withdrawal symptoms I will experience from smoking Marlboros for 36 years?
As I have always contended: Lawyers ruined this country.

Actually you could have- the individual states have collected billions for the consumers who were not told that cigarette companies made there product MORE addictive and did so secretly, and withheld the facts of lung cancer and other detrimental health effects for years. Thank God for lawyers- judy

You're right: to MEDICAIDE patients only; i.e., those which the State supports (to recoup their losses). All others (private/personal/etc.) can go punt, plain and simple.
Besides, the damages were awarded to those who had existing smoking related illnesses, and to the families of those who had already croaked from the product. The litigation had *nothing* to do with the agony of withdrawl.
Lawyers RUINED this country.

If I'd had the complete information about Paxil, I could have made an informed CHOICE! Most patients aren't informed of the sensory disturbances you'll experience!
