Daydreaming or hallucinating ...

Posted by Willow on July 19, 2001, at 22:55:40

Today I had a hard time staying awake. (Had run out of caffeinated coffee. Later in the day this helped, when even a nap didn't.) Anyway I heard a spooky voice calling my name. What should I make of it? Was I actually drifting off to sleep? I was at work. Crazy me spent about five minutes trying to hear it again! Well on that note I'm off to bed.

Great idea above Lissa! Should be like a lit assingment at school where everyone has to hand in some work.

Paula, I lost a friend to the big D who had your name. I like to say your name out loud in my head everytime I see it and pretend it is her writing. The first time I saw it I was shocked, but now it gives me comfort.

Kazoo, I made my way through the rooms making small talk, trying not to look obvious as my eyes scanned for a glimpse of you. As I entered the social board my heart slowly quickened with anticipation. What would I say? Would you smile at me or even notice? Now with thoughts of doubt I leave.

I just wanted to leave a comment about the spooky voice you talked about: i heard that too.
It can be typical of major depression, it's quite rare to hear it all the time though.
As far as i am concerned, I hear voices that aren't there plus somebody knocking on the door:(that is not there, of course) they usually show up when i'm about to relapse...
I don't think it's an hallucination though, if the voice you hear comes around when you're half sleep, don't worry i think it's pretty common.

This is what I thought it must have been. As you mentioned it is common when falling asleep. I was probably sleeping on the job. : ) It's what I do best, why not get paid for it?
