Well this is it, tomorrow will begin the end of a 24 year journey of fear. I go to the Neurologist to find out if I have MS or not. God, why have I let this thing dog me for so long? Was it easier to fear a possible evil than to face it or find I'm OK? What makes man turn away from the horror of reality? Who lets us make our own little worlds? A separate reality where the hyper-vigilant can control the comings and goings. My world has too much sadness, too much fear. So is it better to say let me know? What will that knowledge bring me? Peace of mind? No more excuses for being a failure? Why am I as I am?

Well.....I don't know how to feel. I will be getting a series of neurological tests on 8/31 for MS. MRI, VEP, EEG and ABR. I am ambivalent. I guess I need to get this thing resloved. Sorry for the whining.

Yes, I will let you know when and how. I am going to put the 31 on my calendar and be appropriately supportive. I know I have been hearing how much it helps to help others, but am I being discriminatory by saying it helps me more when the people know how I hurt too?Your friend

I think knowing there is someone out there with the same concerns, or one who has already been there and paved a path, helps us from being our own islands in a fairly uncaring world.
