I just got back from Paris.
I went with my now ex boyfriend. We broke up on the trip. I saw this coming. I'm doing well with it. I had a life before him and I have a life after him.
Actually we are friends now so that will be OK. I do like him but I'm not in love with him.
I just have to be careful now with sex. I do not want to repeat the compulsive cycle again. He was a bit stabilizing for me.
The funny thing is that on the 40mg of Celexa and 200mg of WellbutrinSR I do not feel the desire to have crazy sexual escapades. I have a life now that is worth living. Thank G-d for medication!

What was the weather like? How did the food taste? What did you do for entertainment? Drink any good vine or coffee? Did you see anything out of the ordinary????
Is it as romantic as they say?
Was the airfare a good price or did you fly on the concorde?

Willow,
It was fantastic. We got a great fare! We found it on travelocity.com.
The food was superb as usual. We went to many museums. We took many walks. It was mostly overcast and a little rainy. (It is winter there you know.) It was warmer than it is here in Iowa.
I had lots of great coffee and wine. I also had some great beer!
I shopped a lot. I bought a new coat, new leather gloves, and a scarf. I bought gifts for my family.
I adore Paris. I used to work there and I've been there at least 6 times in my short 31 year old life! I highly recommend it. :-)

I'm so glad you had a good time. Do you speak French? You should venture up north and a little to the east. Ottawa is a beautiful city. I've always enjoyed it. The furtherest east I've made on this continent is Montreal, though I've always wanted to get to Quebec City. It's an old city and I suspect it may have a European flair to it.
For some reason I've always imagined you living on the east coast, around Baltimore. Funny how our imaginations get a life of their own. Now that you mentioned Iowa again I remember you saying it. Iowa is the furtherest west I've managed. Prices are really good there compared to up north here.

> I had lots of great coffee and wine. I also had some great beer!I envy you the coffee and wine. I had two glasses of inexpensive French wine Christmas Eve and really enjoyed it. Beer I can do without. I once had a glass of good old Canadian because I was really thirsty and there was nothing else to drink in the fridge. The first chug was refreshing, the second was beer.
I'm sure your family enjoyed their gifts.Stop in the chat when you get a chance, we've missed you.
BEST WISHES

Mouse I just checked in at open and it said you weren't online. How can this be? Now my head is all a tizzy and I must lie down before I get the children to bed.
$800 US translated into Canadian funds, it's too rich for me unless I can find a "sweet sugar daddy" who likes to travel. Do you know of any? Meanwhile your'e at it dig up a sweet young one for my hubby, one who'll look after the children. (HEE HEE)
Honestly though I don't think I could live without his roman fingers!
Gees, I must be a bored housewife!

Yes, that is similar to the deal I got! I just could not pass it up. I say go for it. You only live once and when you die you can't take it with you. ;-)

Mais oui! Je parle francais. J'adore la langue francaise!

You know, it's funny. I've never been outside of the USA on this continent! I've been to Europe many times but not Mexico or Canada. I've always wanted to see Ontario and Quebec.

I lived there for two years. I grew up in Chicago. I've spent most of my life in Chicagoland. Now I'm an Iowan. I love it here. Yes it's very cheap living and now I make more than I made in Chicago so I'm really living well. ;-)

Thanks Willow! I will pop in when I get the chance. I'm so jet lagged I don't stay up very late these days. When I get more used to my time zone again you just might see me in there!
Take Care,
Simcha.

YAHOO!!!! I love Paris. Cant wait to go back someday!

Sorry to hear it. Has happened to me too in the past. Something about traveling with someone that brings out the good and the bad. The quirks and the compatibility or not stuff.

>>crazy sexual escapades
Oh lord just reading that and being a bit high on meds is making me really horny and crazy!!!! If I was single I would go nuts for crazy sexual escapades!!!! ;-) ;-P I would say why dont people start a posting about crazy sexual escapades they have had but that might end up like the Penthouse forums letters! :) When I was younger I did have a few crazy sexual escapades myself and it was fun. But now Im just happy to be conventional and in the bed in the bedroom doing the missionary thing. I dont know why. I havent done it in an elevator but then again I dont want to. I was happy to do it at work or in a car downtown at night. Those were the days. Its all coming back to me now. :)

The quirks and the compatibility or not stuff.OK so now he's having second thoughts. He wants to take me out for dinner for my birthday tomorrow night. He wants to discuss his feelings. We both agreed to break up mutually. I feel immensely relieved that it's over. Apparently he doesn't. I need to stand my ground. Getting back with an ex is soooooo stupid...

Do you really want a laundry list?*I've had well over 1000 sexual partners in my 32 year old life.
Places I've done it?
Leather bars in Paris and Chicago.
Alleys
Parked cars in the park
In the bushes in the park
On the roof of an apartment building
In my lover's mother's backyard
Adult bookstores
Public washrooms in parks
Public washrooms in department stores
On a balcony
In bed
In a sling
In an elevator
On the stairs
On the highway speeding down the road
Off the highway at rest stops
In every room (and I mean EVERY room) of the houseMultiple partners?
Hmm.. Well I've had 3-ways 4-ways 5-ways and I've been at many orgies.Let's just say that more than likely if it can be done sexually, I've done it.... It's not something I'm exactly proud of. It's hell being an active sexual compulsive. The old compulsion had made me do many many things that no rational human being would think of much less do. I was completely driven and sex ruled my life.
I'm all for flavor and spice in one's sex life. I want this. I do want this in a healthy way. I want a sex life free of the old compulsion. For the first time in my life I am on my way to that.
There is nothing wrong with sexual experimentation. I'm all for it.
The problem is that when you are a sexual compulsive there are no choices. There is only and unending drive to have as much sex with as many partners as you can.. ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It never ends. It rules your life and you do not see any way out.
So, healthy experimentation and sexual expression is a YES.
Driven maniacal cravings that never end and that must be satiated.....NO!!!!!

Something like that can be not only unhealthy but dangerous. Even if you are not Wilt Chamberlin ;-) . At that level it's obviously a pathological condition that needs treatment. Good for you for getting it and getting better!JohnD
