Seeing this isn't can't really be posted on Psycho-Babble, I thought I'd post it here for others enjoyment. It's a short program to download that tests whether you're right- and/or left-brained & how much, plus whether you're better at visual or auditory learning & how much. Then if you chose the accessment, you can read how it describes your balance. (I'm 49% left-brained & 51% right-brained, very nicely balanced I think :). In learning style, I'm 18% auditory [no wonder I forget what was just told me] & 82% visual.)
While the questions seem to be total nonsense, the answers it provides are amazingly accurate. I've showed it to many friends & all agree to its accuracy. It doesn't take long to download to your computer (you can try it on others that way) & it's free from any viruses or worms. Promise!
Here's the site where you can download it.

I'm pretty much the same as you in terms of %. An artist - since healing form major depression that's what I've been saying. I have an artist's personality and need to do more artistic things to be happy.
Weird because I did this test when I had major depression, and I was about 50-50 everywhere then... very different ! No wonder I feel different... I'll do it again at some later time, just to see if it changes again.
Have a good day.> Seeing this isn't can't really be posted on Psycho-Babble, I thought I'd post it here for others enjoyment. Interesting. It showed that I was 76.2% left brained and 23.8% right brained (I would have actually guessed more disparity), and that I was 41.2% auditory and 58.8% visual.
I would agree with these numbers, but the commentary didn't really fit me. It made me sound way too Type A for this very lazy left brained person. Driven and distracted doesn't actually describe me. (Unless you picture an ox being driven with the whips of looming deadlines).

Hi
Thanks that was an interesting test, I found it to be rather accurate !! I'm 54.5 % Left Brained and 45.5% right brained. 57.1% auditory and 42.9% visual. The evaluation seemed to sum me up quite nicely.
Regards J

For me, living in the wet Pacific Northwest, it's more like the slug being chased by a salt shaker. :)

my results came out 54.5% left, 48.5% right, 35.7% auditory, and 64.3% visual. the program told me it was an unusual combination, which i can understand.

The test showed i'm 54% right brained, 45% left brain, 40% visual and 60% auditory.
I came out as a balanced, stable person (?!).
Hope that is not a kind, subtle way to say i'm a boring, shallow person.
It says i criticize myself and other people a lot, but i'm redeemed by my open, socially oriented attitude.
Creative potential is blocked (true).
I agree for the right brain part. I thought i was going to get a higher score on the visual part, cause i believe to be a visually oriented person as i always spot details and retain visual informations pretty often.
Sid's suggestion about being equally distributed while being depressed was interesting: i'll take the test again when i feel better and see if i'm going to notice more discrepancies between my brian emispheres...

58.7% right brain, and something like 66% visual - basically, I'm confused.
This is the end of the thread.
