The joys of motherhood thoroughly outweigh all the little unpleasant extras. Make sure you take care of yourself still & grab sleep whenever you can! Gabrielle means "God is my strength" - what a beautiful name & beautiful meaning.
I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am for you - how about the fact that a big smile spreads across my face?

Congratulations, Judy!! Thanks for letting us know.
BTW, can we call her "Babbrielle" for endearment?

for all the wonderful sentiments. (and yes Noa, i thought Babbrielle was really cute). My husband is on paternity leave 1 more week, and then i'm on my own which is scary. I'm nursing so no meds, but feel the plunge in hormones already or maybe that's just psychological. I feel like the drs. are waiting for me to fail (have an episode) which just makes me more determined not to. I appreciate your support so much- judy

In reply to PS--Judy, some info for you, posted by Noa on February 8, 2002, at 15:09:22
Along with Noa's good advice, since you're able to nurse your little one, make sure that she suckles enough to keep your oxytocin level up. That means no soothers or bottles for her, if you can help it. Just let her nurse. I always noticed the difference in my mood after my babies were weaned - one reason I nursed them so long.

I got to sleep 2 and 1/2 hours last night straight! I know I have to watch that because I tend to get manic with little sleep, but like I said in a previous post, my mood is all over the place. Again, thanks for all the kind wishes- judy
