The poster had a picture of a cat sitting on a stool playing a folk guitar and singing that poem. I think you are right as to the author, I had this on the wall in my kitchen in the late 70's. Anyone who came in and saw that would laugh and laugh.

My sister and I used to love Kliban, long time ago now. Even made up a melody to "Love to eat them mousies," and sang it all the time.
Remember the one of the kitty crossing the street, and its feet are trotting along, all blurred, so it's just the little feet moving. Just like in real life. I'd always say "My kitty Sharkie does that too!"
